On October 18, 2009 the first annual "Discover the Wildcats of Johnstown" event was held at the  Butternut Farm Wildcat Sanctuary & Education Center. The tour guides gave very informative talks about the beautiful wild animals. Participants were also able to learn more about the purpose for the sanctuary and education center where the animals  live. Refreshments were served by Downtown Johnstown members. All proceeds from the event will go toward the completion of the Town Hall cupola project.
